Ohara School of Ikebana, La Jolla Chapter

The Ohara School of Ikebana, La Jolla Chapter was established in 1981 to pursue our passion for flowers, friends, and food.  There are many schools of Japanese flower arranging.  The Ohara School was started by Unshin Ohara in Japan during the nineteenth century.  Unshin Ohara pioneered the use of Western flowers which were then being introduced to Japan and created the moribana style that is ubiquitous today.
